Fourth Wing
Rebecca Yarros
"A dragon without their rider is a tragedy. A rider without their dragon is dead."
Welcome to Basgiath War College! Violet Sorrengail is not only the general of the army's daughter, but also small and frail. After spending her whole life training to be in the Scribes Quadrant she is abruptly thrown into the Riders Quadrant by orders of her mother. Not only is this a shock to Violet, but those who surround her. After proving herself on the parapet, she is tasked with surviving her first year in the Rider's Quadrant with friends and enemies. Not only is she the smallest rider, but she also has a long list of people who want her dead because of her silver hair and last name. Fourth Wing has several twists and turns, not just the flying dragons, that will leave you wanting more.
I have never been so emotionally invested in characters as I was with Fourth Wing. I have also never cried because of the events occurring in a book. Fourth Wing was a phenomenal fantasy with many twists and turns that left my jaw on the floor and my cheeks a shade of pink. An enemies to lovers with secrets galore! So full of emotions that I never want to end! Rebecca Yarros has created an array of characters that have me so emotionally invested I have to remind myself they are fictional.
I have recommended this book to anyone who breathes since I finished it and will continue to. This book is amazing and earned the five stars I gave it! Fourth Wing has reopened my love for reading and I can't wait for the rest of the series!
