January 2024 Reads

The start of a new year means a new year of book tracking! In my last blog post, I talked about how I added a section to my blog for book reviews. I realized for those who are interested in reading what I think about the books I read, that I chose the worst way in which to set up how I go about posting them.

If you didn't know, the way to see the books I have reviewed is to go to the menu above and click on "reviews" or hover over "reviews" and choose the book review you would like to read. I did this so that they weren't clogging up my blog feed, however, that might be really dumb as no one is alerted to when I post those! Speaking of, you can subscribe to receive emails when I post blog posts if you so choose! Right over there to the right should be a place to insert your email! Thank you for subscribing!

So, what I am saying is, I don't have it to where you are alerted when I post reviews. If you want to be, tell me via the contact form below or comment below and I can make a separate blog post to notify everyone who is subscribed to my posts when I post that review. If that makes sense.

Now, I am sure you clicked on this blog post to read about the books I have read in January of 2024... well let me tell you! At the beginning of the month, I had an "I am going to read so much!" mentality and then I read two books and decided I was done with that and I couldn't decide what else to read. #indecisive

The first book I read this month was The Lost Apothecary by Sarah Penner. I gave this book four stars.

The second book I read was The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab, also four stars. Both of these books are in the review tab.

While these are the only two books that I finished in January, I did start another book, but I am making slow progress as it's a chunker. It's Alexander Hamilton by Ron Chernow, the book that inspired the musical written by Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this quick little post about the books I have read this month and if you want to be notified about other postings give me your email over to the right where it asks for it!
